First Visit
12th Street Baptist is located in Rainbow City at the corner of Highway 77 (Grand Avenue) and Steele Station Road.
If you are more comfortable in casual clothes, please dress casually. If you enjoy wearing a suit, then please do so. You will be welcomed by our church in both instances.
Our first worship service is at 8:15 am, followed by our small-group Bible Study which begins at 9:30am, and the second worship service at 11:00 am. Our Wednesday night service begins at 6:00 pm in the Children's Worship Area. Our Adult Choir (in The Interim), Youth Wednesday night service (in The Factory), and Children in Action mission activities also begin at 6:00 on Wednesdays. Greeters will assist you to where you need to be.
If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Pastor, Brother Craig, provides a teaching outline for his Sunday messages, and a Bible will help you to follow along in worship and in Bible Study.
There is ample parking directly in front of our new location, or you can park on the east side. Since we have only finished the 1st phase of our construction at this point, the closest parking to where you will enter the building will be either in front of the east end of the building, or on the east side.
The main entrance right now (while we are in this 1st phase of our building) is the 2nd set of double doors from the east (left) side of the building. There are light fixtures on each side of those doors, which can help you know that these are the correct doors. There is also an entrance on the east (left) side of the building - close to the fenced in area. This is the entrance which will take you into our children's area, so If you have small children this may be the best entrance for you. There will be Greeters at each entrance to help you find your way.
The Greeters at the Welcome Centers will assist you in getting your children to the appropriate place. We offer preschool childcare from bed babies through 5 years. Your older children will want to be involved in the age-appropriate Bible Study groups provided during Sunday School.
Are There Multiple Worship Services at 12th Street on Sunday?
What to Expect in the Worship Service?
Our worship services are a blend of casual and formal, contemporary and traditional. Both of our Sunday morning services are the same. We encourage our guests to join us in the praise and worship of our God, regardless of which style of music we are singing at any given time. Our pastor, Brother Craig, always has a biblically based message, which is interesting, challenging and informative.
Where are the Children During Worship?
We offer a full service nursery during the worship service for children through the age of 3. For children ages 4 through 2nd grade we offer Children's worship while the adults are together. These children will transfer from Sunday School to the Children's Worship. They will have their own worship that is appropriate for them. 3rd graders and up are encouraged to attend worship with their parents.
We have hearing assistance devices available during our Sunday services. Just see an usher upon entering the Sanctuary and he will provide you with a receiver. For those with their own receivers, we broadcast on Channel J.
